A Social Bot for Personalized Recommendations of Bike Availability

Conversational agents are now, more than ever, the answer to establish a seamless interaction between the end users and any service out there. The spreading of these agents have highlighted an important need: going beyond the simple (often precomputed) answer and provide personalized answers according to user's profiles. The goal of the thesis will be twofold: Conduct a survey of technologies enabling to build a textual chatbot Develop the system able to handle a basic conversation providing precomputed answers depending on the user profile. For example, the system while informing about factual information, will offer additional and personalized information concerning the user's preferences. The student will have the possibility to learn under a joint supervision of researchers and industry (in collaboration with a Frenchbased company). It’s a great occasion to get into the entrepreneur mindset with a strong push for the innovation and research.
