First Tests of the Low-Power Computing & Communication Systems

28 July 2016

On July 27 have been successfully performed the first tests involving WiFi transmission with low-power board and reconfigurable antenna, developed for use in different environments and with different applications, within three projects in which it is involved the Advanced Computing and Electromagnetics (ACE) Research Area.

LOw Power Heterogeneous Architecture for Next Generation of Smart Infrastructure and Platforms for Industrial Applications and Societal (OPERA), H2020 project call ICT-04 dedicated to the next generation of Low Power (LP) and Ultra-Low Power (ULP) systems.
Health and Agrifood Technologies (HEART), financed by the call for the creation of research units in the Aosta Valley and dedicated to the agrifood theme.
Call Piano Nazionale Ricerca Antartide (PNRA), for research projects designed to deepen the knowledge in Antarctica.

The objective is to provide an integrated plug-and-play system that can be used in critical environments or where totally lack the power supplies of networks.
