SatisFactory Project Launched in Support of the "Factory of the Future"

The SatisFactory (A collaborative and augmented-enabled ecosystem for increasing SATISfaction and working experience in smart FACTORY environments) project kicked off on 21st and 22th January in Thessaloniki (Greece). That is an ambitious project co-funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Horizon 2020 Program, under the Call FoF-2014-2015 dedicated to the “Factory of the Future”.
SatisFactory aims to contribute to the transformation of traditional industrial environments into attractive and safe workplaces, in order to increase the flexibility, productivity and innovation potential of modern factories, while enhancing the skills and commitment of their workers. The project will create an environment that will stimulate team interactions and the continuous training of employees. Moreover, it will elaborate cutting-edge technologies and user-centered solutions for the capitalization of the knowledge and experience created on the shop floor.
The Consortium is led by the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (Greece) and, in addition to ISMB, it involves the following partners: Sigma Orionis (France), Fraunhofer (Germany), Comau (Italy), Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland), Atlantis Engineering sa (Greece), Regola srl (Italy), Systems Sunlight sa (Greece), and GlassUp srl (Italy). Our Institute contributes to SatisFactory with the Emerging Trends and Opportunities Function, together with two Research Areas namely MultiLayer Wireless Solutions e Pervasive Technologies.
